Wedding & events venue · Neutral demonstration

A restored threshing barn, and one wedding a weekend.

Eighteenth-century stone and oak above the Hallowdene valley — yours from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning, with nobody else booked in around you.

Hallowdene · Derbyshire
Charming wooden barn decorated for a wedding with floral arrangements and soft lighting.

A few seconds at the barn. Stock footage, standing in for the real place.

The barn

Three linked spaces under one roof, so the day moves from vows to dinner to dancing without anyone getting into a car.

The ceremony

Vows under the oak frame

The threshing floor seats your guests beneath the original A-frame, with the big doors thrown open to the valley behind you. Licensed for civil ceremonies, and dressed however you like it — the arch in the photographs is ours, and you are welcome to it.

The dinner

One long table, candles down the middle

The granary seats everyone together rather than splitting the room into pockets. Bring your own caterer — the kitchen is fully fitted and there is no list you have to choose from, and no corkage on the bar you stock yourself.

The evening

The courtyard, lit up

Festoons go up over the flagstones and the bar moves outside when the weather allows. Music until midnight inside, and the walled garden stays open for anyone who wants a quieter half hour.

How we work

“One wedding a weekend. No shared car park, no second party through the wall, and no packing up at eleven because another couple arrives at noon.”

What the hire includes

Dry hire, plainly listed. Anything not on this list is yours to arrange, and we will happily say so rather than quietly adding it.

Dates & hire

Illustrative figures for this demonstration — a real venue would set its own. Weekend hire from £4,200; Friday and midweek dates from £2,650. Winter dates are quieter and priced accordingly.
