Motion Websites

Interactive websites for products, places and businesses that need more than a static brochure. We use scroll choreography, 3D product stages, configurators, specimen explorers and portal transitions when they help a visitor understand, choose or enquire — not as decoration.

Motion Websites

Motion that helps a visitor decide.

Purposeful movement for websites that need to explain an option, guide a next step or make a useful workflow easier to scan. Every interaction has a job; the page still works when motion is unavailable.

Discuss a motion websiteBuilt around a business job, not a novelty effect.

Three useful patterns

See the interaction earn its place.

Neubor's Assemble motion website demonstration showing a credited GT3 in the furnished showroomFlagship pattern · engineered product

Automotive / complex products

Let someone understand the object by moving through it.

Assemble turns a credited GT3 into a guided product story: inspect the whole, separate the real components, compare finishes and choose what to ask about next.

Business job
Make a complex product, service or process easier to understand before the visitor commits to a call.
Static fallback
The poster, stage labels, controls and enquiry route remain available when WebGL or motion is reduced.

Bespoke joinery

Help a considered choice feel tangible.

Marrow & Grain lets a visitor shape a fitted wardrobe by width, finish, sections and handles, while a price band and finish photograph respond to the selection.

Business job
Give someone enough context to explore a considered option before they ask for a conversation.
Why motion earns its place
The movement explains the relationship between the choice and the response. It is product information in motion, not a decorative loop.
Static fallback
Without motion, the same controls, labels, finish image and price-band context remain available as a readable static interface.

Barbershop

Make the route to a booking easy to follow.

Fade House Barbers gives visitors a path through barber, service and time, with an owner's day timeline behind the booking experience.

Business job
Give a ready-to-book visitor one clear next action instead of making them decode a page full of options.
Why motion earns its place
Small state changes can preserve context as a person chooses. The interaction supports the booking task rather than competing with it.
Static fallback
The booking choices and labels remain visible and usable with reduced motion; no information depends on an animated transition.

Independent garage

Turn a first question into a useful hand-off.

Kiln Street Garage starts with a registration and carries the visitor toward the right service conversation, while the owner's workshop board keeps the operational next step visible.

Business job
Reduce the blank-page feeling around a technical enquiry and collect the context a team actually needs.
Why motion earns its place
A guided reveal can show why each question is being asked, making a complex service feel approachable without hiding the important detail.
Static fallback
The registration field, service choices, copy and enquiry route remain available as a normal form when motion is reduced or unavailable.

Independent retail / product-led shops

Make the product the thing people want to explore.

Arcade Goods is a locally rendered Product Studio demonstration: an editorial shop window where a visitor can inspect an object, build a look and understand the product before a mock basket decision.

Business job
Help a small retail brand make considered products feel tangible online, while keeping the route from discovery to enquiry or basket easy to understand.

How it works

  1. 1

    Find the moment worth moving

We map what a visitor needs to understand or decide, then choose one or two interactions that make that answer clearer rather than filling the page with effects.

  2. 2

    Storyboard the journey

We plan the scroll, the pauses, the controls and the fallback state before building the rich version, so the experience has a beginning, middle and useful next step.

  3. 3

    Build the accessible route

The content, keyboard path, touch behaviour, reduced-motion state and static or 2D fallback are built alongside the 3D, video or transition layer.

  4. 4

Test the weight and the proof

We test the important pages across desktop and mobile, review asset licences and provenance, and check that the experience still explains itself when enhancement is unavailable.

  5. 5

    Launch with a clear handover

You receive the agreed performance evidence, content and asset notes, plus a clear route for updating the experience without turning a beautiful page into a maintenance trap.

You might be wondering

Do I need 3D assets before we start?
No. We can begin with your existing photography, video, drawings or product information and decide whether 3D is worthwhile. If a model is needed, we scope the source, licence, cleanup and fallback before it becomes part of the build.
Can this still generate enquiries rather than just impress people?
That is the point of the storyboard. Every rich section needs a job — explain, qualify, compare or lead to an enquiry — and the ordinary content and CTA remain available so the spectacle never becomes a dead end.

FAQ

Is motion just a visual gimmick?
It can be, which is why we start with the visitor's question. Motion earns its place when it explains a product, reveals a process, guides a choice or makes a place memorable. If it only adds noise, we leave it out.
Will it work on a phone or an older device?
The important journey is designed for touch and keyboard first. 3D and heavy video are progressive enhancements with a clear 2D or static route, so the page remains understandable when WebGL is unavailable, the connection is slow or the device is under load.
Can visitors turn the motion off?
Yes. We honour prefers-reduced-motion and provide a calmer version of scroll effects, autoplay and transitions. Interaction remains available through the ordinary content and controls rather than depending on movement.
Will a motion website be slow?
It should not be assumed to be fast or slow before it is measured. We agree a performance budget, load large assets only when they are needed, provide responsive media and test the important pages on real mobile conditions. Any speed target belongs in the written scope and handover evidence.
Where do the images, videos and 3D assets come from?
We use assets you supply, assets we create or assets whose licence permits the intended use, and keep that provenance visible in the project record. Our own showroom and Assemble captures are Neubor-owned demonstrations, not client work; third-party references are never presented as our results.

Fantastic new website — highly recommend Neubor! Had Neubor build my website and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. Kieran, the founder, really took the time to understand what my business needed, kept me updated throughout, and the final site looks fantastic — clean, professional, and easy for customers to use. Turnaround was quick without cutting any corners on quality. If you’re a local business looking for someone who actually cares about getting it right, I can’t recommend Kieran and the team at Neubor enough. Thanks for the great work!
